Waves for Water – Do what you love and help along the way

Recently a bunch of you signed up for the chance to win a 12 Night Surf Charter, on board the Navistar. Well there was more to this than just giving away a surf trip…

We are proud supporters of Waves 4 Water, an incredible Not-for-profit that provides clean drinking water solutions to those in need around the globe. Theres a bunch of info below on how you can help, what they do and why but first check out this clip, it explains the beauty of what these guys do in simplistic terms. Enjoy.

How Wave of the Day helps Waves for Water.

For Every booking made we donate $4 to our Social good fund; One of the things our donations go towards is Water filters; that can provide clean, healthy, drinkable water for up to 100 people or the equivalent of 1 Million Gallons. They filter out bacteria such as EColi, Typhoid, Amoebic Dysentery, Salmonella and many more.

When you book a trip with Wave of the day we also offer you the option to match our donation within the booking process.

If you wanted to know more or are interested in taking a filter with you on a trip, simply let our team know and we would be more than happy to help out.

What can you do to help Waves for Water.

You can jump onto the Waves 4 Water Website to either join the courier program, purchase a filter, make a donation or even start your own fundraiser.

Next time you go a trip, you can easily throw a filter in your board bag and implement your very own clean water solution. The Waves for Water website has a bunch of great videos on how to install the filters, and how to go about finding somebody that needs access to clean water.

If you have any questions about doing your own mission, please get in touch with our team or directly with Waves for Water

Do What You Love and Help Along the Way

Waves For Water’s philosophy is rooted in “doing what you love and helping along the way.” It’s about following your heart and plugging purpose into your passion. We encourage people to look at aid-work or humanitarianism as a lifestyle, rather than a component of doing good and giving back. It’s a paradigm shift in the way we currently think: you do what you love – sail, surf, bike, hike, etc…. and then plug in a purpose along the way. Not only does it create a very vital existence, it enhances everything you do.
