Maldives

For some reason the Maldives is often deemed as super expensive, with softer waves. Not true. There are trips at all sorts of prices and the waves can range from friendlier longboard and fish waves to heaving barrels; you just need to know where to look.

The Northern Male Atolls have plenty of waves only a short boat ride from the Airport. If you want to explore further South, jump on a boat trip and head to the Southern Atolls where you will also find heaps of uncrowded gems!
